Home @ Tanglin Halt
home. is a digital project that explores the relationship between change, progress, and loss. Launched alongside the release of the song home, it offers a reflective examination of redevelopment and its human impact beyond headlines and timelines.
Set in Tanglin Halt—one of Singapore’s oldest housing estates and the site of a major redevelopment—the project documents the lives and memories of residents connected to a place facing erasure. With thousands of homes affected, it raises questions around the cost of progress and what is left behind.
A website was developed as the primary platform to present the project in an immersive yet accessible way. Designed as a multi-sensory experience, it combines sound, visuals, and personal stories contributed by collaborators across disciplines. The site functions as a digital archive, preserving and honouring the community and its history before it disappears.
