My name is Kazhar, though most people know me as Azhar.
I didn't grow up dreaming of being a creative — but I did grow up building makeshift lightsabers and sketching cartoons instead of doing homework. Those after-school brainstorming sessions with my twin, that's where the creative itch started. It never left.
I got my start in graphic and web design before joining the advertising industry at OgilvyOne. From there, I took a leap into a small startup and helped grow it into a full-fledged agency. Over the years I've worn many hats beyond Art Director — playing a key role in building the team, winning new business, and contributing to the agency earning B2B Agency of the Year (Silver) at Marketing Magazine's Agency of the Year Awards.
As Associate Creative Director, I've led major accounts especially Borneo Motors Singapore, helping Toyota claim the No. 1 selling car in Singapore multiple times. I've mentored younger creatives, directed productions, and pushed for ideas that genuinely connect — across digital, social, film, ATL and BTL.
Off the clock, I'm into first-person shooter games, esports, food, and film. I also sit on the Board of Directors at Hope For Animals, contributing creatively to animal welfare in Singapore. At the core of everything I do is connection — between brands and people, and people and their furry friends.
